Best Day of our trip!

Reviewed July 24, 2015
Our tour guide, Tugrul, was incredible. He was intelligent, patient, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We went to Ephesus, Mary's house, and the Turkish Rug Cooperative on our cruise's one day stop in Kusadasi. After a day in Athens during which we were rushed, Tugrul didn't rush us at all.

The itinerary said to only spend 2-3 hrs at Ephesus; our family of 5 spend 5 hrs there. He did not rush us, but patiently answered all our questions. Tugrul's english is also very good. He was welcoming and open to answering all our questions from history to politics, mythology to archaeology.

He then took us to the Turkish rug cooperative which was a lifetime experience. They really mean that there is no pressure to buy. The stop was incredible. First of all we had a cheap, but delicious lunch there. Then they took us through the Rug Cooperative, showing us everything from how they harvest silk to the various types of rugs. This short experience gave me a lifetime appreciation for rugs.

We finished the trip to the House of Mary. It is a slight misnomer that it is just a small chapel located near where Mary is believed to live. I still enjoyed the humbling experience though (I am Catholic).

This was absolutely the best day of our trip and our family loved Tugrul. I am excited to come back in the near future!

Reviewed July 8, 2015
We wanted to go to pamukkale first. But the day of the trip we changed our mind to Ephesus only since we all were needed a short trip.

Our tour guy Tugrul changed it all and twigged the whole trip to our families wants and needs.

Tugrul is very knowledgeable of the history , he answered all questions asked by supporting his answers with research..

Excellent trip overall!

Thank you :)

Truly Amazed
Reviewed July 2, 2015

I cannot really express the high quality of the tour that Tugrul gives in Kusadasi. Pre arrival he is great at communicating and arranging the meeting point. Once with him it only gets better. He has a wealth of knowledge that is unbelievable. Down to the smallest artifact he is able to tell you a full description and history. It is easy to see that Tugrul is passionate about history and enjoys teaching visitors about all there is to know in Kusadasi. I would highly recommend this tour.
