Ephesus tour with Tugrul Reviewed November 21, 2015 Our tour with Tugrul was amazing. The highlight of our Mediterranean cruise! His knowledge of the history and his English were impeccable. We could have stayed for many more days and wouldn't have run out of things to learn.The visit to the carpet place and the meal there were another great experience. We loved every minute of our visit!

Our day spent with Tugrul was great! Reviewed November 17, 2015 Not knowing what to expect, we were met at our ship by Tugrul. On the drive from the port to Ephesus, Tugrul took the time to familiarize us with what to expect and some of the history as it pertained to the site. Our visit to Ephesus with Tugrul Sokmen Reviewed November 15, 2015 After reading very positive reviews for Tugrul, I decided to book our tour of Ephesus with him. Tugrul was very responsive to my initial contact and to later contacts with questions. He always responded within the day. Tugrul met us just outside the port gate. He had a large, comfortable van for our group of 8. Tugrul provided a very informative tour of Ephesus starting at the lower end of the site and working our way in the reverse order that most groups do. This allowed us to avoid most of the crowds that come early in the morning. For about half the tour it seemed like we were the only ones at Ephesus! After visiting Ephesus, we visited St. John's Basilica. The tour took about six hours, which was perfect for us. Tugrul was very knowledgeable of the history of both sites. I enjoyed his sense of humor too. Touring Ephesus in a wheelchair! Reviewed November 10, 2015 We toured Ephesus with Turgul Sokmen on October 15, 2015 and highly recommend you do the same! The van used for the two of us was modern, clean and equipped with a power lift that enabled Juanita to remain in her wheelchair while we toured. The driver provided fast and courteous service in assisting with the wheelchair at each of our several stops. Turgul is very knowledgable, well spoken and used impeccable English throughout the day. There was a large map posted in the front of the van which he used to great advantage in explaining where we were and the history of the area. Finally, he provided information before we contracted to take the tour that made it clear what portion of the buildings and grounds would be viewable from a wheelchair and his honesty was appreciated. Turgul also informed us that entrance fees would be waived if we brought the proper documentation regarding the medical need for using a wheelchair. Again, this useful information was appreciated. His personality made us feel like we were old friends! Our day with Tugrul was highlight of our trip!!! Reviewed November 10, 2015 We met Tugrul at the port. He came with a wonderful very large mini van. I cannot say enough how amazing the day was. He thought of everything. It was as fun for my 12 and 15 year olds as it was for my 80 year old mom. I cannot recommend enough. His historical knowledge was fantastic and could talk at any level of understanding. Thanks you for making our trip so wonderful. Tugrul is fantastic!! Reviewed November 9, 2015 I can only say that when our cruise was underway the least anticipated your was the one in Turkey. As it turns out it was by far the best of all. Tugrul was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his home and history. He is an incredible ambassador for his country and made us feel so welcomed. A Wonderful Day with Ephesus Kusadasi Tours Reviewed November 8, 2015 We enjoyed a full day with Tugrul visiting the sites of Kusadasi. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area and his passion for sharing the wonders that Turkey has to offer is infectious. Tugrul was able to organize a tour for us that touched on the archeological, cultural and culinary traditions of the area. He was able to present both the Islamic and Christian perspectives to the region's history. Surprisingly for us, one of the highlights of the tour was the visit to the rug co-op. We learned about Turkish rug making traditions and got to see many examples of the beautiful and amazing workmanship; a real eye-opener for our group. Our experience with Tugrul and his tour company was professional from start to finish. Trip to Miletus, Didyma and Priene from Kusadasi Reviewed November 7, 2015 We had an all day private tour with Tugrul Sokmen as our guide. It was a wonderful day. He is very knowledgeable about the history of all sites as well as his country. Very professional and polite. He was prompt and even presented us with a gift of a book about all the sites we saw. A wonderful souvenir . Our driver was excellent as well. A great day and for those who are interested in a tour other than Ephesus this tour is the one. Not to be missed! Reviewed November 7, 2015 Just returned from a 17 day trip to Europe and this tour, expertly guided by Turgrul, was the highlight. His knowledge, impeccable English and ability to tailor the tour to your preferences made for the best tour we did on the trip. The spectacular ruins of Ephasus, an amazing and authentic lunch served at a rural restaurant and the information provided during the walking tour by Turgrul combined to make this a truly memorable day. Cannot recommend a tour, or guide, more highly. |
